After blasting off from this earthly realm at the last Generate to explore far-flung corners of the galaxy, those intrepid travellers, the Panksters, will return to the green green grass of home in June. Touching down just in time to celebrate the summer solstice AND Hanky Panky's 3rd BIRTHDAY. Yep Hanky Panky is three years old in June. The toddling Pankster will be taking its steps onto the dancefloor at the Phorpres Club on Saturday the 19th June. The next Generate is a big milestone for us in our journey. Not only have we had three fantastically enjoyable years but also celebrate one year's residency at our beloved Phorpres. We have come a long way and the changes in the last year have been many. It has always seemed apt that Hanky Panky should have been born at the brightest point in the year. The time when the sun is in the ascendant, the natural world around us at its most vibrant and the night is a few brief balmy hours that cry out for partying. Summer is a time of smiles and people seem generally happier and it is fitting that the Pankster, who is always grinning, was born at this time.

In the traditional seasonal calendar of our rustic ancestors this was a time to reflect the abundance of life around them, giving thanks and having bloody good all-night parties (well we reckon they did). The sun reaches it highest point in the sky and the hours of day are at their longest. We have reached the solstice and the peak of the reign of the Summer King before his power wanes in his battle with the Winter King. Hanky Panky will be continuing with the tradition of celebration and dancing at this time of year. The Pankster is having a birthday party and you are cordially invited.
