Beltane 1998

It is a new season. The cycle of the year has turned to the summer, a time for new life to grow. In harmony with the earth's energy flourishing around us Hanky Panky embraces the season with an all-new party night 'GENERATE'. This night will see us celebrating our second birthday. We hope that you who are with us on this journey will join us in celebration. For this birthday celebration entry will be FREE before 10pm (£3 after). The only condition is that you come with your usual 'up-for-it attitude. .

London Brick's Phorpres Club is a new venue for us and we are really looking forward to partying in it. It is located in a non-residential area, has a licensed bar, staged area, on-site car parking and has easy access from all the major roads. The archaic licensing restrictions of Peterborough mean that we are unable to offer all-night entertainment at this venue, which is a shame considering its facilities. However, we will not be dissuaded by the licensing from being able to have a party. To ensure partying a plenty we will be starting proceedings in the early evening and as the night progresses we will be upping the tempo. Upon reaching the witching hour and the climax of 'GENERATE', look out for any information regarding a free after-hours party to see you through to greet the dawn.

The unusual hours are a bit of a departure from previous parties but they are in keeping with the new season and a time for growth into new pastures. The Pankster is constantly seeking new escapades, its partying spirit knows no time constraints, it is an intrepid character who will be up for it regardless of restrictions. Why should we wait until sundown for our Saturday night's partying when we can begin it in the warm comforting glow of the sun?
